HEALTH & SAFETY AT SUTTON HALL GOLF CLUB

For your safety & welfare:

  • Footwear should be appropriate to the course & should be worn at all times. Please make sure your shoes are in good condition and spikes/cleats are all present & clean.
  • Please avoid ditches, ponds & streams on the course as much as is possible.
  • Be wary of steep slopes & please treat with caution.
  • Enjoy the wildlife from a distance to avoid disturbance and injury.
  • Only play your shot when there is no danger to other players/greens staff etc.
  • While on the course take care to avoid holes & scrapes made by animals, these can be particularly hard to see in long grass when searching for golf balls.
  • Overhanging branches, stumps and brambles should all be treated with caution.
  • Even if the course is `not officially closed` because of fog, ice etc this does not mean the course is fit for play and each player/individual has a duty of care not to behave in a way that may result in injury to themselves or others.
  • When visibility is restricted, for instance due to fog do not hit a shot that is likely to land beyond your view. Playing in such conditions is dangerous and players play at their own risk.
  • Please report all accidents or incidents of illness or injury to a member of staff who will be happy to assist you.
